I'm back

So I made it back from Chicago (and subsequently New Jersey as well). I had a good time in Chicago and had some really good food. I met a number of interesting people while I was there and I think I'm starting to get comfortable with networking with these super duper hospital executives I've never met. That's not being completely comfortable - but starting to get that way! :-)

I ran my first 5k while I was up there. It was 6AM and 20 degrees outside, but it was beautiful. They didn't time us unfortunately and I didn't bring my watch so I don't know my exact time, but I know I ran it well under 30 minutes, so I felt good about that. Even though it was cold, there wasn't much wind and the sky was so clear. It was an absolutely beautiful morning as the sun rose and illuminated the Chicago downtown skyline and Lake Michigan. A few of my classmates were going to get up with me and take some pictures, but they never made it. So sorry, no pictures. :-( Anyway, I have the 10k coming up in a few weeks now and am pumped about that.

On an unrelated note - this is by far the worst year I've had with my NCAA Tourney bracket. The Wake, GT, and UConn losses really killed me. BC and Syracuse's losses also did some damage. Oh well, as of now - I still have 2 of my final four teams and my tourney champion. If it gets worst - hey - there's always next year. :-)
